The role has been created to establish a dedicated Court of Protection function, taking over existing COP work that currently sits with the Private Client team. You’ll inherit a ready‑made caseload from day one, with the scope to grow the offering further once a specialist is in place.

Who we’re looking for
* Court of Protection Solicitor, Grade B level
* 4–8 years’ PQE in Court of Protection work
* Experience handling deputyships and attorneyships autonomously
* Confident running a caseload with partner support rather than supervision
* Ambitious and motivated to grow a service line and lead a team over time
* Comfortable working collaboratively within a wider Private Client team
* Looking for long‑term progression rather than a sideways move
What you’ll be doing
* Taking over an existing caseload
* Managing matters autonomously, with support available from experienced partners
* Acting as the dedicated Court of Protection specialist within the wider Private Client team
* Helping relieve workload pressure from Wills and Probate solicitors
* Growing the Court of Protection offering once recruitment is in place
* Playing a key role in shaping the future structure of the COP team
* Progressing into a Head of Court of Protection position as the department develops
