As an IT Solutions Architect, you’ll provide technical leadership and architecture design across our technology and security functions as we grow our plans for a true tech-enabled future.
It’s about maintaining and aligning roadmaps to business strategy, working with stakeholders to define departmental and organizational strategy, and translating problems into easily understood technical descriptions. This is a key role that will help us digitize our products, create outstanding experiences for our members, and drive our innovative tech strategy.

In this role, you'll work on innovative projects like our UK-first Affordability Index tool, helping us create outstanding experiences in savings, mortgages, and more.
We recognize the importance of tech and data, and want them to play a key role in achieving our vision and purpose. Our tech stack includes Azure, React, .NET, MS Power Platform, and Dynamics. Everyone can dedicate two days each month to learning and development, including cross-skilling, hackathons, or certifications.

What you’ll be doing
You will develop and communicate multi-dimensional solution architectures to support business outcomes.
The role involves:
* Leading technical planning and resource deployment
* Providing technical guidance and governance
* Evaluating change requests and deviations
* Ensuring compliance with technical strategies, policies, standards, and security practices
What we need from you
You should be familiar with the software development lifecycle and the challenges of implementing and supporting information systems.
You’ll also need:
* Knowledge of technology infrastructure, data, security, and software development tools and techniques
* Experience in technology strategy, policies, standards, and industry regulations
* Understanding of risk, change, configuration management, and metrics
* Familiarity with recognized industry bodies
* Leadership skills and a proactive development mindset
* Coaching and mentoring abilities
* Solution-oriented creativity that adds value
* Strong communication skills for diverse audiences
