The closing date is 22 June 2025

Permanent | Full-time | SCH Internal Applicants Only

An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop our team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) within the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheffield Children's. We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring person with paediatric critical care experience to join the Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship programme at the University of Sheffield, starting September 2025.

As an ACP apprentice, you will train and work as part of the medical team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children, young people, and their families.

This three-year apprenticeship programme combines academic study with work-based learning, leading to a Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice. The training is based on the RCPCH and RCN standards for advanced level practice, and your learning will be supported by an experienced team, including a designated ANP and Consultant mentor.

A learning agreement--developed in collaboration with your line manager and academic tutor--will outline educational milestones. Regular tripartite reviews will ensure you receive the necessary support throughout the programme.
