TipTopJob is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a high-achieving and inclusive school community in the Leeds area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering an opportunity to lead and inspire students in food science, nutrition, and preparation techniques. You will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages, fostering a deep understanding of the subject.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
* Manage a safe and hygienic classroom environment, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
* Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum and resources.
* Effectively manage student behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
* Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
* Uphold the school's values and ethos at all times.
* Foster a love of learning and a passion for food in all students.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (willingness for one).
