The candidate should have experience working with Goalkeepers from U8s - U16s age bracket and a background in Football Coaching and have knowledge of planning of high-quality sessions that will develop & stretch the boys who are in the centres.
This is an excellent role that requires a lot of energy, drive, and passion to deliver the highest standard with the opportunity to progress within Football.

Main duties
Reading FC Community Trust are looking for a Goalkeeper coach to work with our 3 age groups U8-11s, U12s-14s & U15-16s.
At our community set up we have 3 levels for Goalkeepers. Goalkeeper Technical session, Development & Advance which then progresses onto the Academy. We are looking for coaches who can work with all 3 levels within the community.
Each week there will be a different topic with a syllabus to follow which you can deliver in the manner you feel fit for the group.
You’re required to provide written feedback for each player you coach at the end of the Winter & Summer term which you will get paid to do.
During half term’s we have fixtures against other professional clubs and academies which, if you’re available, you will be asked to work with the Goalkeepers in match scenarios.
You also have the freedom to recruit and scout players you may see outside of Reading for all age groups U8s-16s including outfielders.
The goal we have is to develop players the best we can and to prepare them in their footballing journey & for the next step which hopefully is Academy football.
- Plan & deliver high quality RFCCT center sessions.
- Plan activities that will ensure individuals & groups of participants are motivated, stretched & challenged at appropriate levels across all RFCCT Football sessions.
- To be always presentable when working and demonstrate that you can represent the face of the club in the manner expected.
- Always maintain a flexible approach to work.
- An enhanced DBS process will take place before starting work.
- Ensure your DBS remains up to date by renewing it every 3 years, as well as ensuring all training requirements for your role are up to date.
- To uphold the Trust’s GDPR and Data protection policies.
- To adhere to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Reading Football Club and its operation.
- To maintain and follow Reading Football Club Community Trust’s policies and procedures (including but not limited to Safeguarding (Child Protection), Health, Safety, Equal Opportunity, Data Protection and Mental Health and Wellbeing).
