Express Appliances are now hiring a 7.5t (C1) licenced driver to join our expanding team 4 days a week (32 hours), the candidate must have experience of driving a 7.5t vehicle, a good understanding of current road legislations and laws, be able to work well in a team but also out on your own, have good communication and customer service skills, and have a full U.K. driving licence, with current and up to date CPC, to be maintained by the candidate.
Daily responsibilities to include, but not limited to; daily vehicle safety checks in line with CPC standards, safe loading and unloading of the vehicle, warehouse and yard duties, also the occasional cover for our delivery van teams if the need arises.
Express Appliances deals with major domestic appliances, such as washing machines, cookers, fridge freezers and the like, the main aspect of the job role is to visit our Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) sites and pick through items to bring back for refurbishment. Furthermore, as we deal with a variety of appliances in high volumes, a good level of fitness is required, as lifting and moving these items is an essential part of this job role.
Prior product knowledge is not a necessity as full training is provided; however past knowledge will benefit the applicant.
Our collection sites are located in Suffolk and Norfolk, so local area knowledge would be a benefit but is not essential.
There is an element of GDPR compliance as well, due to the nature of dealing with customers details, when the requirement to cover on the delivery vans is utilised.
