Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Mental Health - Hemel Hempstead
Are you graduating in 2026 and considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Child Mental Health? This role offers Psychology, Health & Social Care, or related graduates valuable hands‑on experience before progressing to postgraduate study. You will work alongside therapists, SEN specialists, and mental health professionals to support young people with additional needs in a specialist setting.
Responsibilities
* Support students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
* Play a key role in helping learners build confidence, develop independence, and re‑engage with education.
* Develop skills in behaviour management, therapeutic communication, and supporting vulnerable young people within a specialist environment.
About the School
* Specialist SEN setting supporting approximately 55 students
* Small class sizes of 6–8 learners
* Highly supportive and collaborative staff team
* Access to Occupational Therapists, Specialist Teachers, and external professionals

Role Details
* Permanent position
* £21,000 per annum
* Monday to Friday, 8:30am‑4:30pm
* September 2026 start
* Location: Hemel Hempstead
