Our client based in the Ellesmere Port area is currently looking for a Senior Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.
Performance Objectives
* Oversee the MRP process - Outputs, exceptions, and planning parameters (lead time, ROP, ROQ and Safety stock).
* Capacity and load management - Balance workload, identify constraints and mitigating actions.
* Purchasing (materials) - Oversee standard lead time purchases, manage supply of long lead time purchases (Far East).
* Inventory - Optimise stock levels, monitor stock health, and define safety stock strategy.
* ERP Planning Data Management - Maintain data integrity, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
* Change Management - Control and co-ordinate changes and lead stock phase in/out.
* Root cause analysis & correct action - Analyse supply chain and planning failures and implement robust corrective action.
Person Specification
* Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential.
* Experience in senior planning or supply chain role.
* MRP/ERP systems experience is essential.
* Deep understanding of capacity planning and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Able to work to tight deadlines and at times high pressurised environments.
* Excellent communicator.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning software.
* Flexibility around working hours.
* Strong ability to multi-task and remain organised.
