ROLE PURPOSE
To provide expert advice and support on Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) matters across the organisation. The SHEQ Advisor ensures compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies while promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Be fully conversant with all current and proposed legislation relating to health and safety and the safe practices required to comply with Health & Safety legislation in the UK.
* Maintain the Nano Fibre, company health and safety policy and role & responsibilities document for all members of the business and ensure that this is communicated to all Employees.
* Provide advice on all matters relating to health and safety affecting all employees, customers, contractors and Health & Safety Teams.
Represent Nano Fibre on matters concerning health and safety and attend industry forums as required.
- Monitor all aspects of health and safety policy & procedures, review implementation and report any significant failures or omission to Head of SHEQ.
- Ensure regular inspections of offices, storage premises and Installations, occupied / controlled by Nano Fibre are carried out, and to advise and report on hazards, precautions and compliance with statutory requirements and Company policy.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory enforcement authorities ( REA's) in conjunction with the Head of SHEQ.
- Support the Nano Fibre Training Team so that the necessary Health & Safety / Workplace training courses are provided and delivered.
- Ensure that incidents, personal injuries, dangerous occurrences and near misses, are recorded, reported and investigated in order for corrective and preventative action to be identified and implemented.
- Maintains a summary of health and safety statistics especially the Utility Strikes, Accidents & Incidents, Near Miss and Dangerous occurrences as described in RIDDOR Regulations 2013.
- Ensure health and safety reports are produced in a timely manner for the relevant stakeholders.

- Support lead H&S advisors as required.
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time-to-time.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, ABILITY / SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
* Have a working knowledge of ISO 45001 and the former BS/EN 18001 such that a compliant Safety Management System is produced, maintained and communicated effectively to all Nano Fibre employees.
* Strong attention to detail.

* Prior engineer and management experience preferable.
