Start date for this role is 22 September 2026. Our start dates are mandatory due to the internal and professional training you receive upon joining the firm to offer you the best start to your career with us.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of Team Tax to deliver client-focused tax services across areas such as VAT/Indirect Tax, Employer Solutions, Private Client Services, Corporate Tax, Innovation and Creative Sector Reliefs, Transfer Pricing, Capital Allowances and Tax Investigations.
* Engage directly with clients to understand their financial situations, identify tax-saving opportunities, manage tax risks, and navigate reporting requirements.
* Balance exam training with work commitments, supported by a team that helps you deliver your best.
* As you progress, handle a more complex client portfolio and increased responsibilities, including mentoring junior team members.
* Study towards professional qualifications (ACA, ATT, ADIT and/or CTA) aligned with your chosen area of Team Tax.
As part of your experiences, you may travel to client sites and other offices as required.
What We’re Looking For
* A team-oriented mindset with curiosity about business/financial operations and the link between taxation, personal wealth, and financial goals.
* Determination to tackle challenges and the hard work necessary to pass exams and become a business adviser.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfort with numbers, analytical mindset, and an interest in the law.
* Minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level) and an obtained or predicted honours degree.
* Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
