We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our friendly Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT).
Building on the current CLDT provision, this post will facilitate the provision of children and adult specialist services offering assessment, intervention, and training for people with learning disabilities, complex behavioral, and/or mental health needs.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in collaboration with service users, their families, carers, and professional colleagues to enhance health and well-being, and to prevent or reduce challenging behaviors.

This post will be based with the Community Learning Disability Team in North Tyneside. The post holder will work across the Enhanced Crisis Aversion Team and Positive Behaviour Team, providing support in highly specialized behavioral assessments and interventions for children and adults presenting with severe challenging behaviors.
The post holder will support senior staff in developing highly specialized Positive Behaviour Support Plans for patients and service providers to reduce or prevent placement breakdowns or inpatient admissions.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham, as well as smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick-on-Tweed. Our services include the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and local community facilities, providing services to help individuals live independently and avoid hospital admission when appropriate.
