Building Services Officer – Abbey Lane Children’s Centre
Salary £30,288 – £31,611 per annum
Location: Abbey Lane Children’s Centre
This is not a hybrid role – it requires the successful candidate to be present in person in the workplace Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable Building Services Officer to support the day-to-day running of the Abbey Lane Children’s Centre. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and service users.
Key Duties Include:
1. Opening/closing the building and managing access
2. Fire alarm and compliance checks (weekly/monthly)
3. Minor maintenance and repairs (. lighting, blockages)
4. Routine building inspections and safety reporting
5. Room setup and porterage duties
6. Site cleaning, hygiene, and infection control
7. Acting as First Aider and Fire Warden
About You:
8. Facilities or caretaking experience
9. Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
10. Flexible, practical, and team-oriented
11. Willing to work on-site full-time (no hybrid option)
12. A clear enhanced DBS check is required
