Celtic Horizons care for over 6500 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales. About the Role: The Commercial Assistant will be well versed in carrying out service reviews and any redesign improvements that focus on understanding processes end to end, embrace lean thinking, and identifying improvement that make a real difference in the time, cost and quality of processes and outputs, ensuring improvement in tenant experiences whilst delivering better value for money. They will support the Operations Director and Senior team in producing monthly and quarterly performance reports for presentation to United Welsh and Mears. The role will work across the three service areas, Repairs & Voids, Compliance/facilities and Capital Works to understand business demand and operational processes, providing live operational data to make process changes and system improvement for the benefit of UW / Mears and their tenants. We want our Commercial assistant to develop and maintain great working relationships with key stakeholders to co-design, document and report current performance against a suite of key performance indicator to ensure the senior management team are able to make informed operational decisions. The role will optimise the use of data, systems, and technology to drive a consistently improving experience for our customers and tenants. We understand the importance that repairs play in the overall satisfaction and the trust our customers have in Celtic Horizons. The role reports into the Operations Director at Celtic Horizons. Through the effective utilisation of an in-house team, plus our external subcontractor framework, the role will help nurture a culture of continuous improvement to our service delivery. All of this will be delivered while ensuring a safe, compliant working environment for all colleagues whilst evidencing Value for Money. Role Criteria: We are looking for an experienced Commercial Assistant and would like someone to join us who has confidently and successfully delivered lean end to end reviews and who has assisted in managing and delivering change within an organisation, preferably within a similar sector. You will need to have excellent organisation and planning skills. You will enjoy setting priorities, creating project plans, and monitoring progress towards goals. Quality assurance and testing will be a priority by continual testing, evaluating and validate information to ensure integrity of reporting. You will have a strong commercial acumen, coupled with a budgetary understanding. At your core, you will possess a customer-focused mindset. Customer focused: A key focus will be to enhance the customer and colleague experience by a culture of innovation and improvement. This will be achieved by utilising data, systems and technology to drive consistent improvements. Customer feedback will also be essential in shaping the delivery of our repairs service. Data-Driven Decision Making: You will be detail orientated and be adept at analysing data to drive effective decision-making that delivers an effective and efficient service. Your technical expertise will ensure a safe working environment for our colleagues and customers while complying with all technical and health & safety requirements.
