SEND Tutor (1:1 Alternative Provision) – West London / Hillingdon

Overview
Educ8SEN is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to support SEND/SEMH learners across West London and Hillingdon. You will provide long-term 1:1 tuition, delivered at home or in community settings, helping learners re-engage with education and progress at their own pace.
This role suits tutors with a calm, trauma-informed approach who can build strong, trusting relationships.
Responsibilities
* Deliver customised 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to individual learning needs
* Support with subject understanding, homework, exams and confidence-building
* Create engaging lesson plans and structured learning activities
* Monitor progress and maintain clear, organised records
* Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages motivation and independence
* Work with parents, teachers and the local authority to align support
Skills & Requirements
* Proven experience tutoring or teaching children/young people
* Strong communication skills and confidence adapting to SEND/SEMH needs
* Patience, empathy and the ability to motivate disengaged learners
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Right to work in the UK
* QTS desirable but not essential
