We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency.
* Develop new menu items, experiment with flavours, and ensure menu consistency.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and meet customer expectations.
* Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and professionalism.
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Leadership qualities that motivate staff and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
* Competence in food preparation techniques across various cuisines.
* Experience in restaurant operations, hospitality services, or catering is highly desirable.
* Good communication skills for serving customers and coordinating with team members.
