Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Specialist Occupational Therapy Technician, working with Swn y Gwynt Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based at Swn Y Gwynt resource center in Ammanford.
You will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary community and ward OT teams, as well as wider service provisions. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will have a degree of autonomy across both settings.
Main duties of the job
* Ideally have experience working with clients with serious and enduring mental illness within a therapeutic/rehabilitation role.
* Work as part of an Occupational Therapy team to deliver planned interventions supporting rehabilitation and recovery, utilizing technical skills through activity.
* Work under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Deliver one-to-one and group interventions within community settings, aimed at promoting independence and psychological well-being.
* Have completed or be working towards the Occupational Therapy Support Worker Diploma. You will receive support, supervision, and professional development through Personal Development Plans/Reviews.
