Quantum Scholars are currently working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school based in Basingstoke who are seeking a passionate English Teacher. This will be a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025. This position offers an opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative teaching team dedicated to fostering a love for English and helping students achieve their full potential.
The school hiring are based in Basingstoke. They are rated as a "Good" performing school overall with "Outstanding" in three of the four Ofsted categories. They are a school with students aged 11-16 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities and styles.
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum and school standards.
* Develop engaging lesson materials and activities that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
* Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking, reporting, and feedback.
* Support students in their personal and academic growth by creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in meetings, parent evenings, and extracurricular activities where required.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
* A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
* Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a focused and respectful learning environment.
* A genuine passion for English literature and language, and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' education.
* Must be available for September 2025!
