Job Details: Recovery Navigator - Assessment & Fast Track
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.

About the role
As a Recovery Navigator, you’ll play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessments and developing initial Recovery Plans for individuals newly referred to the service. The role may also include group facilitation work and outreach support.
You’ll work in close partnership with a range of professionals and agencies to provide a holistic and person-centred approach to recovery. Experience in supporting vulnerable adults, developing risk assessments, and using case management systems is essential.
As a Recovery Navigator, you will be responsible for:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Recovery Plans.
* Manage a varied caseload of service users requiring short-term intervention.
* Support clients in accessing resources that enhance their recovery capital.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate care.
* Accurately maintain case notes and comply with monitoring and evaluation processes.
* Deliver services across multiple locations, including in-reach and outreach settings.
* Participate in regular supervision and reflective practice.
* Contribute to reducing substance-related harm in the community.
* Adhere to safeguarding procedures and maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR.
About you

* Experience in the substance misuse or wider health and social care field.
* Compassion, empathy, and resilience in the face of challenging situations.
* Skills in written and verbal communication, with strong IT capabilities.
* An ability to manage their time effectively and work flexibly across different sites.
Why Join Us?
