Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Community Learning Disability Team Lead in the Learning Disability Additional Support Team (AST) based at the Red Lodge, Larbert. This band 7 post is a part‑time permanent post of 30 hours per week for a highly motivated and experienced RNLD.
The Learning Disability service seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Team Manager to lead our community based Crisis and part‑forensic service, the Additional Support Team, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based care to people with Learning Disabilities who present in crisis.
Responsibilities
* Lead the community based Crisis and part‑forensic service, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based care to people with Learning Disabilities in crisis.
* Maintain caseloads within the forensic and crisis specialities within the Additional Support Team.
* Promote care planning and risk management for people who may offend, enabling inclusion, choice, independence and rights within legal frameworks.
* Manage change and deliver operational performance in line with national standards.
* Work in partnership to promote inclusion and choice, independence and rights within legal frameworks.
* Lead operational performance and risk management in partnership with the Learning Disability Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
* Registered as a Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
* Knowledge of policy trends and legislation within learning disabilities health and social care.
* Experience in forensic issues and crisis intervention (advantageous).
* Evidence of experience and/or professional development in leadership and collaborative working.
* Strong, visible and accessible leadership style.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Hours & Salary
This part‑time role is 30 hours per week. As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. A corresponding increase in hourly rate will offset the reduction so pay is unaffected.
