Product R&D · Farnborough
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
AALTO’s Zephyr aircraft is a High-Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) and is currently the sector's leading product, having completed the most hours in the stratosphere with various payloads and configurations. Having flown beyond 60 days, we have demonstrated longevity in the stratosphere, enabling civil and military operations above 60,000ft, surpassing conventional air traffic.
Zephyr offers a more affordable service than satellites, with increased mobility, allowing relocation instead of deploying additional satellites.
As a newly established entity, we aim to become a leading global HAPS connectivity service provider for mobile and satellite network operators. We serve diverse customer needs—rural, overlay capacity, disaster recovery, or affordable new services. As a Platform as a Service (PaaS), we also provide Earth observation, tracking, and communication solutions powered by sunlight for institutions and military operators.
