We are a care home in the UK looking for a passionate, resilient, and caring residential child care worker to support children aged 8‑18. As a part‑time team member (average 28.2 hours per week) you will provide one‑to‑one or two‑to‑one support and help children build confidence, independence and functional skills. You will also be fully trained on our therapeutic care model and supported by our multidisciplinary team.
Base pay range
A starting salary of £17,359.55 to £17,741.83 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Part‑time roles operate on a rota pattern of one day on and two days off. Your average weekly working hours are 28.2 per week. If you require flexibility, we may have other contracts available. You will receive 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time contracts) and your Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care can be 100 % funded.
Responsibilities
You will be employed part‑time as a dedicated team member, averaging 28.2 hours per week. Working collaboratively with your team on shift, you will provide support tailored to each young person’s needs, either one‑to‑one or two‑to‑one. During your induction you will learn about our therapeutic care model and receive support from the Learning and Development and Senior Management teams. You will be based within one home on a full‑time basis and may occasionally support other homes within the same geographical area.

Desirable Qualities
* Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults.
* Working toward, or a desire to obtain, SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People’s Residential workforce (funding may be available).
* Familiar with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies.
* An existing PVG/DBS certificate.
