What skills and experience we're looking for
The Role:
The successful candidate will be a passionate linguist and literature enthusiast, capable of delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This role is suitable for experienced teachers (M1-UPR3) looking for a new challenge in a supportive environment.
We also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), including those who will qualify in Summer 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* To plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons that inspire and challenge all pupils.
* To contribute to the development of the English curriculum and share best practices within the faculty.
* To monitor pupil progress effectively, ensuring that all students—regardless of their starting point—reach their full potential.
* To maintain a purposeful and positive learning environment in line with the school’s behaviour and inclusion policies.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve this by September 2026.
* A degree in English or a closely related subject.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships with students and staff.
* A commitment to the "Fortis et Fidelis" ethos of the school.
