Job Summary
We are seeking a Downstream Process Engineer withexperience in processes related to the Ethylene Oxide and PropyleneOxide value chain to join our Global Manufacturing Excellenceorganization under the Downstream Global Manufacturing SupportDepartment (GMSD). (The Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide valuechain primarily includes Ethylene Oxide Ethylene Glycol PropyleneOxide and Propylene Glycol). GMSDs technical team is amultidisciplinary team responsible for providing the requiredhighquality technical support to our Global Manufacturing operatingfacilities (Refineries NGLF and petrochemical plants) inside theKingdom of Saudi Arabia & across the globe. Your primary rolewill be to provide process engineering operations and technicalexpertise to monitor optimize and drive performance improvement andvalue creation programs for processes related to the Ethylene Oxideand Propylene Oxide value chain including remote and fieldtechnical advisory support benchmarking technology knowledgemanagement and exchange of the Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxidevalue chain and drive the performance improvement programs whichenhance process safety optimize manufacturing cost and increaseplant reliability.
KeyResponsibilities
* Review and monitor the performances of existingmanufacturing facilities in the Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxidevalue chain using key performance indicators (KPIs) related tooperability profitability reliability energy efficiency and processsafety.
* Issue quarterly process unitperformance benchmarking reports highlighting KPIs analysis andperformance improvement recommendations.
* Monitor and support facilities in implementing therecommendations and closing performance gaps identified in thebenchmarking reports.
* Optimize the performanceof producing units in the Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide valuechain through indepth plant monitoring and oversight.
* Conduct benchmarking and best practices exchangeworkshops among Global Manufacturing facilities with relevantprocess technologies.
* Provide technicaladvisory support to Global Manufacturing facilities on mattersrelated to plant operation and process design improvements issuingservice reports for each support activity.
* Coordinate and drive Global Manufacturing and Corporateprograms to the operating facilities for execution and effectivemonitoring.
* Participate in Business Plandevelopment and coordinate with stakeholders for capitalinvestments in assigned process units.
* Participate in hazard operability (HAZOP) and safetyintegrity level (SIL) studies as required by operatingfacilities.
* Participate in incidentinvestigation activities related to the Ethylene Oxide andPropylene Oxide value chain.
* Leadtroubleshooting efforts for unit operations investigate offspecproducts and manage deliverables during turnarounds and unplannedshutdowns/startups.
* Perform process parametersgap analysis and benchmarking among Global Manufacturing facilitieswith relevant process technologies to share best practices lessonslearned areas for improvements and technicalrecommendations.
* Conduct benchmarking and bestpractices technical exchange workshops among Global Manufacturingfacilities producing chemicals in the Ethylene Oxide and PropyleneOxide value chain based on Benchmarking & Best PracticesExchange Agreements.
Requirements:
* This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
* Bachelors degree inChemical Engineering or a related specialization. An advanceddegree is preferred.
* Minimum of 15 yearsexperience within a refinery or petrochemical process unitincluding experience in process engineering andoperations.
* At least 10 years experience inhandling plants related to the Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxidevalue chain.
* Exposure to different processlicensor technologies related to the Ethylene Oxide and PropyleneOxide value chain is preferred.
* Strongmentorship skills with the ability and drive to guide thedevelopment of junior engineers.
* Familiarityand understanding of best practices design principles internationalengineering standards and specifications relevant to the operationof the concerned process units.
