Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated Investigation Support Officers to assist in a range of investigative and safeguarding duties. This role involves supporting complex investigations, gathering evidence, liaising with statutory partners, and attending child protection case conferences. The successful candidates will play a key role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations
Duties
* Interview witnesses and victims, assist in suspect interviews, and produce high-quality statements.
* Manage and analyze CCTV footage, coordinate house-to-house enquiries, and prepare evidential reports.
* Conduct investigative research using internal systems and produce detailed reports.
* Liaise with victims and witnesses, providing updates and support throughout investigations.
* Assist in searches and act as exhibits officer, ensuring integrity and security of evidence.
* Submit accurate paperwork within deadlines, maintaining evidential integrity.
* Stay updated on relevant legislation and internal policies (e.g., PACE, CPIA, RIPA).
* Collaborate with social care teams for safeguarding actions and case conferences.
Requirements
* Full clean UK driving license.
* ABE (Achieving Best Evidence) trained.
* Desirable: PIP2 and SOTO qualifications.
* Experience in safeguarding vulnerable individuals and conducting criminal investigations.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple cases.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Athena and PNC systems is a plus.
* High level of integrity and flexibility to meet operational demands.
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 19 weeks
Pay: £15.08-£19.19 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
