We are looking for Full or Part Time Medical Receptionists to bean integral part of our Patient SupportTeam. We have 2 Medical Practicescovering Centraland North Leeds (Woodhouse and Chandos) and the role will be operating in bothsites covering opening hours of 8am-6.30pm Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be hardworking and enthusiasticindividual, provide high standards of care, reception and administrativesupport and be an effective communicator.A flexible approach to working is essential and as a practice we will be flexible with the employees needs. The role offers competitive rates of pay subject to experience and ongoing performance, membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, health care support, free tea/coffee and other benefits.

Good knowledge of IT including Microsoft products

Woodhouse Medical Practice Reports to: Business Services Manager
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessingthe appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficientand effective way.
Provide general assistance, administration andoperational support to the practice team and project a positive and friendlyimage to visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Scanning documents in medicalrecords including coding
Reception
Consulting with members ofpractice team Advise patients ofrelevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts
Ensure security of practicepremises and contents
Use own judgement, resourcefulness, common senseand local knowledge, to respond to patients enquiries and requests
Inthe course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us togather, sensitive information in relation to their health and othermatters. Inthe performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post-holdermay have access to confidential information relating to patients and theircarer(s), practice staff and other healthcare workers. Information relating to patients, carers,colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the practice may onlybe divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies andprocedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal andsensitive data
Health & Safety
Thepost-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and othershealth, safety and security as defined in the practice health & safetypolicy, the practice health & safety manual, and the practice infectioncontrol policy and published procedures. Identifyingthe risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a waythat manages those risks
Making effective use of training to updateknowledge and skills
Activelyreporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately whenrecognised
Keepingown work areas and general / patient areas clean, assisting in the maintenanceof general standards of cleanliness consistent with the scope of the jobholders role
Undertaking periodic infection control training
Reporting potential risks identified

Acting in a way that recognises the importanceof peoples rights, interpreting them in a way that is consistent with practiceprocedures and policies, and current legislation
