Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Content Writer to join our team. This role requires a skilled writer with a strong background in technical writing to create compelling, accurate, and engaging content that showcases our expertise in the power quality and renewable energy sectors. As a key member of the marketing team, you will develop content that communicates complex technical concepts in an accessible and impactful way, helping to strengthen our brand presence and industry authority.
Responsibilities
Content Development
1. Write and edit high-quality, technically accurate content, including whitepapers, case studies, technical blogs, and product documentation.
2. Develop engaging content for a variety of platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, and presentations.
3. Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Partner with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and business development, to create impactful content.
5. Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Technical Writing
1. Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to gather technical information and insights.
2. Draft and edit technical manuals, product guides, and specifications.
3. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all technical documentation.
4. Work with the wider marketing team to align content with company objectives, target audiences, and SEO strategies.
5. Develop content frameworks and outlines to support marketing campaigns and brand positioning.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
Brand Voice and Standards
1. Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand voice, messaging, and visual identity.
2. Maintain and uphold high standards of editorial excellence and accuracy.
Qualifications and Preferences
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in content writing, with at least 2 years in technical writing.
2. Strong understanding of technical concepts, particularly in the power quality or renewable energy sectors (preferred).
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Proficiency in content creation tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms.
5. Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimisation techniques.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. A collaborative and proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams.
