Robert Half are working with a leading fraud‑prevention organisation to recruit a Mid‑Level Data Engineer on an initial 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Product Innovation team focused on building scalable data solutions using modern cloud technologies.
Role:
1. Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines and data architectures.
2. Work extensively with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse and Data Warehouse components.
3. Develop and optimise ETL processes across cloud‑based and modern data ecosystems.
4. Ensure strong data quality, reliability and system performance through testing, validation and optimisation.
5. Support data science and AI initiatives by ensuring pipelines and datasets are structured for advanced analytics.
6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across technology, product, and operational functions to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
Profile:
7. Proven experience as a Data Engineer within a cloud‑based environment.
8. Strong technical capability in SQL, Python or Scala.
9. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric or other major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
10. Strong understanding of data modelling, pipeline design and best‑practice engineering principles.
11. Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
12. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and optimise data systems and workflows.
13. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
