Overview
Taking responsibility for key day-to-day processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring smooth communication between all parties. Play a key part in offering industry leading levels of service to our internal and external customers. Day to day technical support of a busy workshop, covering the following key areas;
Responsibilities
* Lead technical support. Be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment from some of the most prestigious agricultural brands.
* Diagnose and repair problems with machinery and equipment to ensure machinery operates to a high standard in alignment with manufacturer specifications with a high level of accuracy.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance as required across the business.
* Maintain on-call service and offer out-of-hours support as required.
* Work within the workshop or in the field/on farm as required.
* Ensure Dealer Standards are maintained across the department and maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
* Maintain a strong working relationship with all machinery departments ensuring work quality, accuracy and deadlines are met.
* Engage in customer-focused problem solving and contribute to a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experienced Service Technician with appropriate recognised apprenticeship and certificated qualifications for servicing and repairing machinery from leading manufacturers.
* Flexible in carrying out work both on customer premises and in the workshop.
* Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to manage change and adapt to unexpected demands on a day-to-day basis.
* Confident IT user, including working knowledge of diagnostic software.
* Flexible working hours during busy season and weekends in a rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK Driving License required.
* Experience with equipment and machinery from sectors beyond agriculture is welcome.
