My client is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability. They specialise in Oncology, neurology, rare diseases, ophthalmology, and immunology. An opportunity exists for an Associate Director / Director Safety Scientist to join their team.
Hybrid work model: Office 8 times a month
Your new role
You will support early and late phase development activities within the safety team, providing safety oversight across study management and post-market activities, including signal evaluation, safety activities related to regulatory filings, benefit-risk assessment, and safety risk management.
- Develop understanding of the safety profile of assigned products or therapy areas
- Manage individual and aggregate case reporting activities, including ICSR case management and aggregate reporting (DSUR, PBRER)
- Conduct signal detection and management, contributing to safety assessments and reports for signals or issues, including regulatory responses
- Assist in risk management activities such as CCDS, labeling, RMP, and REMS
- Support study management from a safety perspective across the development continuum, including PASS
- Contribute to regulatory submissions by reviewing safety data and preparing relevant sections
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and teams
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, SOPs, and guidelines
What you'll need to succeed
Primary degree in life sciences; postgraduate degree preferred. Proven drug safety and clinical development experience, including signal evaluation, regulatory activities, benefit-risk assessment, and safety reporting. Understanding of GxP, clinical trial lifecycle, and project management. Strong communication, data analysis, presentation skills, and team collaboration.
