Role Overview:
As a Qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be responsible for providing expert dispensing services, ensuring each patient receives tailored advice and high-quality eyewear suited to their lifestyle and prescription needs. You'll be expected to demonstrate excellent product knowledge, be confident with a wide variety of lenses and frame types, and deliver a seamless customer experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
" Dispensing high-quality lenses and frames to all levels of prescriptions
" Providing expert advice on lens types, coatings, and frame suitability
" Ensuring accurate measurements and a high standard of fitting
" Delivering a personable, consultative customer journey
" Working closely with Optometrists and support staff to maintain clinical standards
" Supporting junior staff or trainees as required
" Staying up to date with industry trends and product developments
Requirements:
" GOC-registered Qualified Dispensing Optician (essential)
" Strong dispensing knowledge across all lens types and patient needs
" Excellent communication, customer service, and team-working skills
" Friendly, professional, and patient-focused
" Confident in using modern dispensing equipment and software
" A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and grow
