SR2 are supporting a public sector consultancy who believe in using technology to improve lives. They are now looking for a Principal Product Manager to help lead and scale this impact further. As a Principal Product Manager, you'll play a dual role as both a strategic leader and a hands-on consultant. You’ll lead a talented team of Product Managers while shaping complex public sector digital products from the ground up.
This is for someone who brings deep product leadership, can provide technical assurance, and thrives in consulting environments. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs, lead on bidding and strategy, and oversee large-scale web and data platform deliveries. Around 80% of your time will be spent on client work, where you'll set product vision, drive maturity, and influence long-term outcomes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience leading and managing high-performing product teams
* Strong consultancy background with hands-on client engagement
* Demonstrated ability to oversee complex, large-scale deliveries
* Experience working in (and a passion for) the public sector
* Comfortable working on bids and shaping product strategy at pace
* A T-shaped skillset – e.g. experience as a Business Analyst, Design Principal, or similar
* Eligible for SC clearance
* Based within commutable distance of one of our offices – offices are based in London, Southwest, South Wales and the North.

Hybrid Working: While some client work may require up to 3 days onsite, in reality it’s more like 2–4 times per month

Process:
* Stage 1 – Product & Public Sector experience interview
* Stage 2 – Consulting & commercial acumen
* Stage 3 – Informal conversation with the Managing Director to explore values, culture and leadership style
