About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and expanding Group Training Association (GTA) specialising in mechanical engineering training, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join their team in Hull, with occasional travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe.
As a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer, you will deliver engaging, hands‑on learning experiences to apprentices and adult learners. The role is primarily classroom-based, guiding learners through topics such as:
* Mechanical Principles & Engineering Maths
* Engineering Science & Design
* Fluid Mechanics & CAD
* Health & Safety & Lean Manufacturing
* Professional Engineering Management
* Production Engineering
* Quality and Process Improvements
* Supervising Level 3 & 4 engineering projects and Level 5 research projects
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering high‑quality teaching and training to apprentices and adult learners
* Developing engaging and practical course materials
* Assessing learners’ progress and providing constructive feedback
* Supporting learners in achieving their qualifications and career goals
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
* Maintaining accurate records of learners’ progress and achievements
Job Requirements
* A degree in engineering or a related field
* Significant industry experience
* Strong technical and IT skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* A genuine passion for teaching and developing others
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Willingness to complete Cert Ed or PGCE if not already possessed (supported by our client)
