Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner within our East CYP‑MH Service. The role involves working collaboratively with young people and their families experiencing moderate to severe mental health needs across East Hertfordshire. We actively seek Occupational Therapists and Social Workers to enhance our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of complex assessment, treatment and consultation work with children, adolescents and their families/carers.
* Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team, delivering child and adolescent mental health services in line with CYP‑IAPT principles.
* Provide culturally sensitive care for families from diverse racial, cultural and religious backgrounds, tailoring interventions to single parents, same‑sex couples, extended families, foster carers and others.
* Conduct risk assessment and risk management for all children and adolescents, identifying protective and risk factors within the network of significant relationships.
* Act as care coordinator where appropriate, ensuring a comprehensive care plan, initiating, planning and reviewing care, and communicating effectively with relevant professionals.
* Maintain a personal and professional profile in accordance with Post Registration Educational Practice (PREP) and keep abreast of legislation, national and local policies.
* Contribute to clinical governance and evidence‑based practice within the service.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Social Worker with SWE registration or Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
* Specialist training relevant to the role and knowledge of CAPA and CYP‑IAPT.
* Post‑qualification experience in a CYP‑MH service or comparable area, with experience of moderate to severe mental health problems in children and adolescents.
* Experience of multidisciplinary team working and inter‑agency collaboration.
* Knowledge of child protection procedures and relevant legislation affecting children and adolescents.
* Ability to provide supervision and staff support, including appraisal, preceptorship and training.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Training in sensory assessment and integration.
* Additional qualifications or experience in trauma and attachment‑focused approaches.
