You will work within the NHS Tayside Children’s Speech and Language Therapy service as a Band 7 Highly Specialist SLT in Ninewells Acute Hospital. You will have an interest in quality improvement and leadership.
* Assess and support babies, children and young people and their families with a wide range of speech, language and communication complex needs and problems, including a specific remit for children who are acutely unwell and/or have dysphagia.
* Support and mentor SLT team members in this specialist area.
* Bring extensive skills, knowledge and experience in working with infants, pre‑school and school‑aged children and support children with complex needs across a variety of settings.
* Deliver training to the wider MDT as part of the service‑wide work at a universal and targeted level.
* Work collaboratively with partners in other agencies in the community.
* Be based in the Speech and Language Therapy department in Ninewells but may be required to work flexibly across NHS Tayside in a range of settings and be willing to travel to a number of sites.
Must be registered on the HCPC Register.
Hours of work are 22.2 per week.
