Occupational Health & Wellbeing Specialist
Siemens Mobility is looking for a Health & Wellbeing Specialist to join our team in the UK. This role involves acting as the central operational point of contact for Rolling Stock Customer Services staff and supporting the delivery of RSCS health and wellbeing obligations.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Heads of EHS and the wider RSCS EHS team in the implementation of H&W elements of the RSCS EHS strategy and associated action plans.
* Travel to various business & supplier locations across the UK as required.
* Support the RSCS EHS team with promoting H&W performance outside of SMO business, including meeting requirements of bids and tendering activities.
* Ensure accurate retention of records in a compliant manner and collate information to monitor delivery against agreed KPIs, including through up-to-date dashboards.
* Educate and inform managers and employees on key aspects of H&W, including occupational hygiene, through delivery or supporting the delivery of approved health and wellbeing material, campaigns and portal.
* Provide operational support for H&W and occupational hygiene queries, working with internal and external stakeholders to signpost to appropriate resources.
* Lead and support the RSCS Mental Health and Wellbeing Champion community, providing updates and information to the RSCS EHS team and the SMO EHS Leadership Team.
* Work with external suppliers as part of continual improvement for all services, supporting auditing and assurance activities, monitoring their performance, and putting in place action plans as required to maximise efficiency.
* Coordinate with wider EHS team to ensure successful operational delivery of H&W campaigns and work closely with other health‑related external suppliers.
* Support RSCS Heads of EHS with compiling reports on key metrics in H&W from internal and external sources and managing non‑clinical queries.
* Champion, advise and support how H&W can be integrated into all business approaches, including 4 Steps to Zero Harm.
Qualifications
* Degree level qualification in a health and wellbeing related discipline, with an occupational hygiene bias.
* A qualification in relevant occupational hygiene topics (e.g., noise, dust, vibration, respiratory, MSD).
* 3 years experience working in a H&W occupational hygiene role with broad experience of UK regulations (5 years desirable).
* Experience of the management of occupational hygiene risks.
* Thorough understanding of mental health topic, including completion of the Mental Health First Aider course.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, organisational skills and influencing skills with experience of delivering health education to individuals and groups within a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
* Experience of managing external contracts and stakeholders.
* Excellent IT, digital and media skills, including experience with Microsoft applications (particularly Excel) as well as reporting tools and database applications.
* Significant experience of data management and reporting.
* Experience in advising and sharing information with senior management regarding H&W performance.
