Track Technician
Job Description
Location: England, Greater London, Croydon
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours
Primary Industry: Rail
Secondary Industry: Engineering
Salary: £21 - £23 Per hour

Job Duties:
Inspect and maintain railway tracks, ensuring they are safe for train operations
Repair and replace damaged track components
Use specialised equipment for track maintenance and repairs
Follow safety procedures and regulations while working on tracks
Assist in track construction and improvement projects
Required Qualifications:
Experience working in the rail industry
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Additional vocational training in track maintenance is desirable
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in railway track maintenance
Hands-on experience with track inspection and repair
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of track maintenance procedures and best practises
Proficiency in using track maintenance equipment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skill
Knowledge of the below is desirable
Experience of track patrolling
Experience with vossloh track fixing systems
Small tools and plant tickets
S&C inspections
General track maintenance activities
Track renewals activities
Lubricator maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in railway safety regulations
Previous experience working on electrified tracks
Working Conditions:
Work in outdoor environments along railway tracks
Possibility of working night shifts and weekends
Physical demands including lifting and bending
