As a Production Planner you will:
* Be responsible for creation, monitoring and optimisation of the Master Production Schedules, taking into account forecast demand, production costs, inventory costs, lead times, capacity, inventory levels and scheduling of raw material.
* Contribute to and manage the output from the monthly Sales Demand Review into a workable Production Plan.
* Identify and implement changes to production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
* Monitor and report departmental KPIs, driving improvement where possible.
* Monitor progress against plan and communicate team and Master plan changes to facilitate on‑time delivery to customers.
* Develop a robust process to schedule raw materials, ensuring adequate material is available without over‑stocking expensive inventory.
* Identify and resolve problems related to inventory, playing an important role in managing and improving performance against inventory levels and targets.
* Investigate, recommend and implement new or improved production planning methods, processes and systems to increase manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications
You will need to be competent in preparing reports, undertaking presentations, managing time, contributing to and leading meetings.
