We are looking for a number of Skilled Welders to join on a12-month contract.Please note this role is going to be on arotating shift pattern(mornings, afternoon and nights).
As a Skilled Welder you will be expected to; engage in Health and Safety activity, produce components at the highest Quality, follow Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards and work to meet high volume requirements.
As a Skilled Welder you will be responsible for:
* Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
* Welding of Nickel, Steel and Alloys using various processes including TIG welding in accordance with defined specifications and procedures, as detailed within the Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards.
* The role will require you to work to tight tolerances, experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview.
* Work within strict HS&E guidelines, Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
* We work within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.
What we require from the candidate:
* Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
* Experienced of Welding to Rolls-Royce/Aerospace standards.
* Experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys.
* Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).
* Professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
* Able willing to work a multi-shift pattern including nights.
* Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
* Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
* An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
