You’ll feel right at home here. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside experts in Mechanical, Process, HVAC, and Civil engineering to ensure our electrical designs are integrated into complex, high-impact projects.
Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical installation designs for water utility sector projects, in line with IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671 – 18th Edition).
* Develop detailed design deliverables, including 2D and 3D electrical layouts and containment routing diagrams, in line with E&I design best practices and project lifecycle management.
* Conduct site surveys and provide construction assistance as required.
* Apply hazardous area design knowledge, including intrinsically safe calculations and hazardous area inspection schedules.
* Prepare instrumentation loop diagrams, cable calculations, and communication network diagrams.
* Maintain familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015, including experience as a Designer.
* Utilise software tools to support design work and project delivery.
Qualifications
* HNC or Degree in a technical engineering subject with practical experience delivering electrical installation designs in the water utility sector.
* Thorough knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671 – 18th Edition).
* Experience of E&I design deliverables and project lifecycle management; proficient in 2D/3D electrical layouts and containment routing diagrams.
* Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015 and experience as a Designer.
* Ability to conduct site surveys and provide construction assistance.
* Hazardous area design knowledge, including intrinsically safe calculations and hazardous area inspection schedules.
* Experience with Instrumentation loop diagrams, cable calculations, and communication network diagrams.
* Software Proficiency: AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite, Aveva, Navisworks, Revit; Microsoft Office suite.
