We are seeking a skilled Ground Modelling Engineer to join our groundworks contractor client. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and interpreting ground and geological models to support infrastructure, civil engineering, and construction projects. Some of the main responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
* Develop and maintain 3D ground models using industry-standard software (e.g., 12D, Trimble TBC etc).
* Interpret and integrate site investigation data (borehole logs, CPTs, trial pits, geophysical surveys) into ground models.
* Provide engineering input to support feasibility studies, concept designs, and detailed design phases.
* Produce technical reports, ground model visualizations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Support digital innovation and the integration of BIM (Building Information Modelling) with geotechnical data.
* Assist with tendering and project planning through provision of ground condition insights.
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate experience or competence within the following:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in geotechnical data management and 3D ground modelling.
* Strong working knowledge of relevant ground modelling software
* Familiarity with geotechnical design principles (foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures).
