Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early stages of learning? Our partner primary school in the heart of Enfield (N9) is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their warm, vibrant Early Years team from January 2026.
This welcoming and community-focused school is known for its inclusive ethos, nurturing environment, and strong commitment to helping every child thrive. You’ll be joining a supportive Early Years setting where play-based learning, curiosity, and creativity are at the centre of the curriculum.
Role Responsibilities
1. Working closely with the class teacher to support learning in Nursery or Reception
2. Providing individualised or small-group support to pupils
3. Assisting with phonics, early maths and literacy activities
4. Supporting children with social skills, communication and emotional development
5. Helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating classroom environment
6. Assisting with observations and contributing to progress records (EYFS framework)
7. Collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality provision for all children
What We’re Looking For
8. Experience working with Early Years children (school, nursery or childcare setting)
9. A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
10. Warm, patient and proactive approach
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
12. A genuine passion for helping young learners develop and succeed
13. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
