This role involves working within a busy Cardiology department to provide a range of complex investigations and produce detailed, evidence-based clinical reports. The post holder will perform both invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations according to their grade and scope of training. It is suitable for a newly or recently qualified Cardiac Physiologist/PTP seeking to develop their career. The role emphasizes a flexible, patient-centered approach, respecting privacy and dignity at all times.
The practitioner will act in accordance with Trust health and safety policies to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, and will report incidents as per Trust procedures. Participation in out-of-hours and weekend work may be required to ensure continuous service delivery.
The post involves liaising closely with patients, including those who may be difficult to communicate with, and their carers, explaining procedures and results appropriately. The practitioner will also handle patients who are acutely unwell or distressed, ensuring courteous and prompt treatment while maintaining their comfort and dignity.

Additional Responsibilities
1. Ensure clinical safety standards are met during supervision of all rehabilitation sessions according to service policies.
2. Maintain all records related to the Cardiac Physiology Team in an organized and confidential manner, in line with the Code of Conduct and Caldicott Principles.
3. Prepare clinical areas and maintain equipment, reporting faults immediately.
4. Assist with the cleaning and infection control standards of equipment.
5. Supervise assistants and students as necessary.
