The Trevor Gibbens Unit is a medium secure inpatient service for forensic services serving the community of Kent and Medway. We specialise in the rehabilitation and treatment of males and females with complex mental health needs, who require care in a medium secure setting, in response to offending, risky, and/or challenging behaviours.

The Healthcare Worker is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and will have ongoing responsibilities, including:
1. Delivering effective and competent care under limited supervision from senior staff, based on the patients' care plans.
2. Supporting the multidisciplinary team by delivering patient-focused services that promote independence.
3. Offering support and advice to patients.
4. Accurately recording all care provided.
5. Encouraging patients to maintain and improve their independence through active involvement in therapeutic activities.
6. Noting and reporting care details and information required by the nurse in charge.
7. Providing physical care as instructed.
8. Promoting patients' appearance and hygiene by offering support and ensuring toiletries are available.
9. Maintaining a safe, healthy, and secure environment by adhering to trust policies and confidentiality requirements.
10. Assisting in maintaining a clean ward environment and supporting patients in daily living skills.
