Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst - 32067

We are establishing a Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to drive change, transformation, and continuous improvement. We are looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the team.

You will be part of the PMO, analysing data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio, helping to set standards for benefits and value management and to embed them. You will help teams identify, value and validate their project benefits and support decision-making, risk management, and strategic alignment across change and transformation.

You will join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Transformation Team of the STA (Strategy, Transformation and Assurance) directorate. The PMO supports change, transformation, and continuous improvement across the business. The STA fosters inclusive, supportive cultures and uses evidence and innovation to influence policy and delivery.


Responsibilities

* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers to shape and optimise project Portfolios.
* Set and embed standards for benefits and value management; help identify, value, and validate project benefits.
* Support evidence-based decision-making, risk management, and strategic alignment across change and transformation.
* Contribute to dashboard/reporting development (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel) and provide clear communications of insights to non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.


Experience/Skills Required

* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures; actively consider diversity issues in work.
* Development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.

* You’ll have an inclusive incident management objective in your development plan; appropriate training will be provided. The role is hybrid with an EA Office base location.
* Some travel and overnight stays may be required, and smart tools help reduce travel.
