We have an exciting opportunity for a First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist (FCP) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about providing high quality care.
PICS has a Clinical MSK FCP Lead in post to ensure its FCPs fulfill the requirements of the NHS England FCP Roadmap. We are committed to further developing FCPs as specialist MSK professionals in primary care.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To work as an autonomous specialist MSK practitioner, providing musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans.
To independently assess, analyze, and diagnose individual patients, including those with complex conditions, and determine their need for further MSK or non-MSK intervention. This involves understanding when to refer to other services such as diagnostics, pathology, T&O, medication reviews, pain management, rheumatology, community physiotherapy, and injection therapy.
To write contemporaneous clinical notes using SystmOne, Arden's Templates, and electronic software (e.g., PhysioTec, AccuRx) in line with professional standards.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
* HCPC Registered
* Minimum of three years musculoskeletal experience

Job responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain accurate clinical notes using SystmOne, Arden's Templates, and other electronic systems.
To complete mandatory and role-specific training, maintaining an up-to-date CPD portfolio for annual appraisal.
To identify and manage risks to quality, workload, communication, and team working, with support from line managers and mentors.
To collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
To communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients and external healthcare providers, in line with PICS and PCN procedures.
To understand the MSK service pathways across primary, secondary, and voluntary sectors, including referral criteria.
To engage with external physiotherapy professionals and promote PICS Ltd as a leading healthcare organization.
