Finance Manager Peterborough Salary up to £60,000 + Bonus
We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join a fantastic business in Peterborough. This is a hands‑on role centered on managing and improving core financial processes. We are seeking a motivated, high‑potential accounting professional who is ready to advance their career and take full ownership of the finance function within a small to mid‑sized business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead day-to-day finance operations
* Produce monthly management accounts
* Manage cashflow and financial controls
* Ensure compliance and governance
* Liaise with auditors and accountants
* Improve systems, processes, and automation
* Develop reporting and insights (e.g. Power BI)
* Support operations with financial analysis
* Provide commercial and decision support
* Lead and develop the finance team
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Senior finance role experience
* Hands‑on management of finance operations
* Experience in SME or multi‑site environments
* Use of cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
* Support for commercial decisions and operations
* Experience with audits, bids, or funding processes
* Strong reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
* Effective cashflow management and financial control
