Job Description
We are seeking applicants for a Class 2 Driver position within our Specialist Transport & Cultural Events team.
Ideally, candidates will live within a 60-mile radius of London, have held a Class 2 Licence for at least 5 years, and be comfortable driving vehicles weighing up to 18 tons and 26 tons. A clean driving record and a valid Driver CPC card are essential, along with national and EU driving experience.
Experience working in a cultural events environment is beneficial. Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of musical instruments and concert equipment, always ensuring safety and security. Assist the stage manager as needed within permitted driving/duty hours and working time directive.
Role Responsibilities
• Take part in UK & European events, recordings, and special projects.
• Must be a professional driver who can spend time away from home, can organise tasks efficiently and work well under pressure as part of a team.
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining the Pulleyn reputation and the role of the driver in this regard.
• High degree of professionalism and respect when interacting with orchestra colleagues.
• Must be well-presented, clean, and physically fit due to the nature of the role.
• Hold a clean Category C HGV Driver License.
This is a full-time position that includes on-the-job training in vehicle operation and load management. Experience with international documents, such as transit documents and carnets, as well as knowledge of customs formalities.
Job Outline
