GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Eastleigh. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to make a difference in the lives of young people.
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the school community by supporting students across a range of learning needs. Your role will vary from day to day ,one day, you might be working in the classroom, supporting the teacher and engaging pupils in group learning; the next, you could be working one-to-one with a student who has additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development
Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement
Liaising with SENCOs, teachers, and parents where appropriate

Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
A genuine desire to support students with a range of learning needs
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL
