Romano Education is working with a welcoming Blackpool primary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time position involves supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them engage and thrive in the classroom.Full-time, Temporary (with potential to go long-term)Location: Blackpool, LancashirePay: £95 - £105 per day
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support children with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to implement learning strategies
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Help manage behaviour and create a calm, inclusive classroom environment
* Support with personal care, where needed (training can be provided)
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (in schools, nurseries, youth work, or care settings)
* Is patient, resilient and genuinely caring
* Has a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred, not essential)
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
