Accounts Manager / Senior Bookkeeper

Location: Worcester

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: On-site

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Accounts professional to take responsibility for the smooth running of our Finance Department. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys managing a broad range of accounting and financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, reporting directly to the Directors
2. Prepare year-end accounts up to trial balance
3. Maintain personal account records and liaise with external accountants for self-assessments
4. Produce quarterly management accounts
5. Maintain loan and mortgage schedules, ensuring payments are made on time
6. Keep up-to-date schedules of assets and liabilities
7. Manage company and personal ledgers using Sage
8. Process Jupix rental reports and post journals to Sage
9. Oversee sales and purchase ledgers
10. Manage banking relationships and reporting
11. Submit quarterly rental schedules to banks
12. Complete bank reconciliations across multiple companies
13. Maintain and update direct debits and standing orders
14. Run payment batches and reconcile credit cards
15. Check, record and process contractor invoices for property projects
16. Manage monthly payroll, including timesheet verification
17. Complete monthly and annual pension submissions (including Teachers' Pensions and Auto Enrolment)
18. Submit PAYE returns and make HMRC payments
19. Administer property service charges and ground rents
20. Complete online business surveys as required
21. Prepare and submit VAT returns
22. General filing and ad-hoc duties
